With Storm Thorgerson's artwork being both simplistic, but bold, we attempted to create something that echoed this. For our first image for the ancillary task, our poster insert, we looked at the template for the album artwork for The Dark Side of the Moon, and placed it in the foreground of our image of the house in which the protagonist lives. The storm hanging overhead is a pathetic fallacy of depression and what will happen, foreshadowing the dark themes that are connoted through the song.
Secondly, our Rear Cover: We tried to evoke Storm Thorgerson again, by keeping the design simple (Again, an image of the house, this time a low angle from the side). We felt that its bland colour palette reflected the protagonist since the girl he loved died, with everything seeming distant and grey. As the house looks like it's falling apart and has been the subject of vandalism, the band name in pink on the wall feels like spray paint. The font also mirrors that used on Storm's album cover for The Wall
